The best way to make a gift to GSA is by contributing annually to the GSA Annual Fund.
The GSA Fund is the school's most important fundraising initiative. Providing day-to-day support for many aspects of GSA, including our comprehensive academic programs, visual and performing arts, athletics offerings, extracurricular activities, teacher and staff salaries, technology updates, and improvements to our campus, the GSA Annual Fund strengthens and ensures a vibrant experience for today's students and faculty.

While we are grateful for gifts of any size, leadership gifts are the cornerstone of the GSA Fund each year. Named for the landmark year the doors of GSA's original Academy House were opened, the 1898 Society brings together generations of donors – alumni, parents, and friends – to support virtually every aspect of academic and student life. 1898 Society members give $1,000 or more each year to the GSA Fund. All members receive special event invitations and other communications throughout the year.
You can become one of GSA’s philanthropic leaders by pledging an 1898 Society level gift and making subsequent monthly or quarterly payments with your debit or credit card. To take advantage of this donor platform, click here and select “Monthly.” You will then be given the option to select the number and frequency of your gift payments.

Blue Hill shipbuilder George Stevens was keenly concerned about educational opportunities for students on this peninsula. His will, dated 1852, appointed five trustees, entrusting them with land, his “homestead and appurtenances,” and generous funds “to erect, when they deem it expedient, a suitable and convenient building for an Academy, for the purposes of education forever.”
George’s vision of "education forever" has shaped the lives of thousands of students living in Blue Hill and surrounding towns. GSA Planned Giving started with a gift from George followed by many transformative acts of philanthropy, to build a permanent endowment to provide income and support improvements in facilities and program.

The Duane B. Gray '64 Memorial Golf Tournament
In September, golfers and other supporters of George Stevens Academy's mission come to the Blue Hill Country Club for a fun day on the links in support of the GSA Fund.
Andy Collier '98 Memorial Golf Tournament
Proceeds from this annual tournament, organized by a group of alumni volunteers, go to the Alumni Sports Fund to support GSA Athletics.

The Downeast Art & Antiques Show
This extraordinary opportunity to browse and buy superb art and antiques from national dealers is America's longest-running event of its kind. All admission fees and Preview Party ticket sales benefit George Stevens Academy.

Class of 2004 20th Reunion From Lauren Lennie-Crabtree Vinciguerra, Organizer: "I’m so grateful for all my classmates who came out to Devil’s Half Acre for our 20 year reunion. We enjoyed good beer, good food and great company. If you’re in Blue Hill, this new beer garden is not to be missed! The owner, Mark was a very gracious host. A special thank you to Mr. Orlofsky who gave us a tour of the school and to the best photographer, Ricky Leighton. What a blast from the past! This group hasn’t aged a day."

Class agents serve as key leaders of GSA’s alumni body as they keep classmates connected to one another and to GSA. We are grateful to the many class agents who generously volunteer their time each year! If you would like to reconnect with friends and become more involved with your classmates and GSA, consider becoming a class agent.

The Advancement Office partners with friends of GSA who are interested in hosting an event to bring alumni, parents, and friends from the region together. If you are interested in sponsoring a social or cultural activity, we’d love to hear from you!

Each year, GSA students greatly benefit through work with mentors in our community. If you would like to serve as a mentor to students through offerings such as our Independent Study and Internship Program, Arts Fest, or Community Service Program, we’d love to hear from you!

Friends of GSA provides meaningful volunteer opportunities at GSA. Every year, volunteers help with Volunteer Work Days, GSA Annual Fund appeal, support our annual events such as the golf tournament and Giving Day, and participate in critical outreach efforts to support our supplemental tuition ask to our sending towns. We are interested in building new engagement opportunities for current parents and welcome your suggestions!
