GSA’s Gateway to Campus Renewal Project
About the Gateway to Campus Renewal Project- Phase One
The Gateway Project is the exciting first step towards a re-envisioned GSA campus. It is a repurposing of campus space to make a safer, more welcoming entrance for students and community members. It is also the initial stage of a many-faceted campus renewal plan.
The Gateway Project includes:
The demolition of the west wing of the gymnasium building. Insulated panels will be installed with light-gauge metal framing behind the panels and over the concrete block to increase the structural integrity of that wall of the gym, effectively creating a new and durable “building envelope.”
A dedicated bus lane with a weather-protected canopy.
A clearly identifiable, welcoming entrance to the GSA campus.
GSA broke ground on Phase One on June 15th, 2026. Construction will continue during the summer while school is out.
The general contractor is E.L. Shea and the owner’s rep is builder, David Gray ‘80. All questions related to construction should be directed to David Gray at davidwgray20@gmail.com.
