At GSA,

YOU belong.

The GSA community - staff, students and families - represent our unique coastal community. Some of us have been here for generations and some are relative newcomers, but we all have some special love for this place. GSA is built by and for this community, and it feels like that when you are here!
— Phelan Gallagher

We serve teenagers from across the Blue Hill Peninsula and beyond with a comprehensive high school education that honors both tradition and innovation. Our small size is our strength—every student is known, valued, and challenged to reach their full potential in an environment where individual attention isn't just possible, it's inevitable.

Our commitment spans four pillars: rigorous academics that prepare students for college and career success, specific curricula tailored to students who wish to pursue non-traditional journeys following graduation, a vibrant arts program that celebrates creativity and self-expression, and competitive athletics that build character and community pride. Whether students find their passion in advanced mathematics, welding, theater productions, visual arts, or on our playing fields, they discover excellence through dedicated pursuit and hands-on instruction.

Our graduates carry forward a unique blend of academic preparation and the enduring qualities that mark our region: independence, resourcefulness, and an abiding connection to place. As we look toward our next century of service, we remain committed to providing an education as authentic as the tides that shape our shores.
