Biography
Martin Conte studied English and Creative Writing at the University of Southern Maine, the University of Winchester, and the University of Maine at Orono. During that time, Martin completed a manuscript of short stories set in his hometown of Deer Isle-Stonington. He returned to his alma mater GSA to take the reins from the esteemed Lou Graceffa. He is the director and arranger for GSA's steelbands as well as Flash!, a community steelband. He grew up playing music and reading books in Blue Hill, and now lives with his partner and two cats in Stonington.
