Biography

I came to GSA from Fryeburg Academy, where I spent the last 27 years teaching Health, Fitness, Psychology, and Early Childhood Development. Athletics has always been an important part of my life, playing basketball and softball in high school and going on to play basketball in college. I have coached basketball for 30+ years, both boys and girls. Along with coaching basketball, I have coached varsity lacrosse, varsity track, middle school cross country, varsity cheering, JV soccer and softball. I believe that participating in athletics teaches valuable life lessons, such as sportsmanship, respect, responsibility, accountability, discipline, and fair play. Through competitions, student-athletes develop dignity, worth, and self-esteem, which is paramount, not only in athletics, but in life following athletic participation. In my free time, I like to travel, go to the beach, and spend time with my children Nicholis and Alexis, dog Stella, and granddog Gus.
