Gateway to Campus Renewal
Phase One

George Stevens Academy launched the Gateway to Campus Renewal capital campaign in the summer of 2024. Phase One of the campaign, Leadership Giving, aims to raise approximately 70% of the project's $3 million goal. We expect Leadership Giving to run through December 31, 2025. Once leadership gifts have been successfully secured, we will publicize these fundraising results and launch Phase Two, a broader, community-wide effort to secure the remaining funds for the Gateway Project.

A timeline of expected Gateway Campaign Phases

The Gateway Project includes:

  • The demolition of the west wing of the gymnasium building. Insulated panels will be installed with light-gauge metal framing behind the panels and over the concrete block to increase the structural integrity of that wall of the gym, effectively creating a new and durable “building envelope.”
  • A dedicated bus lane with a weather-protected canopy.
  • A clearly identifiable, welcoming entrance to the GSA campus.

Gateway to Campus Renewal and Campus Plan Material

The GATEWAY PROJECT is the exciting first step toward a re-envisioned GSA campus. We are revisiting the below plans from 2018 as we adjust to our census numbers, create an updated strategic plan, and listen to the voices in our communities regarding the educational experience their young people will receive at George Stevens Academy. All future phases of the campus plan will, by design, align and integrate with each other to avoid costly and wasteful undoing and redoing of construction projects.
