This class covers all the basics of modern script calligraphy, from holding the pen to writing the complete lowercase alphabet. The workshop is hands-on, using all the traditional materials of calligraphy such as pointed nibs, pen holders and ink. All the supplies you'll need for the workshop, including a take-home kit and resource booklet, are covered in the ticket price:
o 3 different pen nibs
o 1 straight pen holder
o 1 oblique pen holder
o 1 pad of quality practice paper
o 1 jar of black ink
o 1 baseline and italic line guide
o Plurabelle's own resource and letter specimen booklet
Absolutely no previous calligraphy experience is required. However, students who have some calligraphy experience often find the class helpful for learning new techniques and correcting old habits. The workshop is recommended for students age 15 and up. Read about Molly Suber Thorpe
