GSA SAILING HAS STANDOUT SHOWING AT THE DOWNEAST REGATTA!

A standout showing for GSA at the Downeast Regatta! With the warm weather came heavy winds and a challenge for the fleet.

Shout outs to Annika & Levi for competing in every race and their top finish of 6th place in A division. Also to Story who skippered B division and then crewed for the Oceanside team whose crew was unwell. Juno for top notch crewing with Story, keeping the boat upright and moving fast. Juno also provided safety boat assistance.

At the awards ceremony, Gil Rieff won the Sportsmanship Award given by the Race Committee for coming in as a new sailor, new to racing and hanging in there and completing the races even when they started with a turtled boat. Luke’s positive attitude and skill made it possible for the team to succeed, the dynamic duo was unstoppable!
