Summer Music Camp
Note: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, no programs are currently planned for the summer of 2020.
The 24th annual GSA Summer Music Camp will take place Monday through Friday, June 24-28, from 9-11 A.M. under the direction of Steve Orlofsky.
Students entering grades seven, eight, and nine are eligible. All students should be able to read music and play jazz band instruments: saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, vibes, guitar (guitarists must know how to play chords), bass guitar, and drums, but other instruments, such as clarinet and flute, etc., are welcome too.
We will play various styles of jazz: swing, Latin, funk and rock Monday through Thursday. On Friday, we will rehearse from 9-9:45 A.M., then present a concert for family, relatives, and friends at 10 A.M.
The camp costs $125 per student, and registration closes on June 19. Click here for the registration form. If you have questions or concerns, contact Steve Orlofsky, Director of Instrumental Music, at 374-2808 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
