In His WordsRob Cushman is a proponent of a healthy and ecological lifestyle. He has a decade of experience working on and supporting small farms. With a grant from Maine Farmland Trust, he helped build a mobile slaughter business to provide humane and simplified animal processing for farmers and homesteaders. He also is a partner on a small oyster farm and has worked as a research assistant on seaweed cultivation projects with the University of Maine.Rob attended high school at a boarding school in New Hampshire and is looking forward to his new role as a dorm parent. He plans to help diversify the outdoor activity offerings of the Residential Life program. He enjoys pond hockey, ultimate frisbee, cold immersion, and podcasts.
