Mr. O an Educator of the Year

Congratulations to the entire jazz program on their success at the online National Jazz Festival Saturday. Every ensemble placed, and two individuals received special honors.

In Division S-2 Live Performance, our Jazz Immunity combo came in first place (https://youtu.be/giWT12hBM34) and our Early Birds came in second place (https://youtu.be/FwKu9v5xzF4).

In that same division, Zeke Sacaridiz ’21 won Superior Musician honors.

         Congratulations to all our musicians!

But one more person received an award that night. Director Steve Orlofsky was named one of two National Jazz Festival Educators of the Year! Congratulations, Steve. This is much deserved! And thank you for inspiring generations of GSA students.
