In His WordsJayson comes to GSA from working in outdoor education for over four years. He has taught wilderness survival skills, archery, rock climbing, sea kayaking, orienteering, and animal/plant identification all while incorporating lessons in the natural sciences. He especially enjoys leading team-building activities such as high and low ropes courses to further challenge students to step out, or identify, their comfort zones. He has experience as a personal tutor for students in college level classes in statistics, biology, and population dynamics.In his spare time, his favorite activities include hiking, rock climbing, canoeing or paddleboarding, and camping. He loves travelling and has even spent a summer in Peru backpacking and working with a few local organizations throughout the country.Jayson is most excited to work with GSA students and to assist them in becoming the best version of themselves while also helping them discover their true passions.
