In Her Words
I was born and raised in Blue Hill, Maine. I am the product of a community that values creativity and nurtures young people – and a George Stevens Academy Alum. I left for NYC when I was 18 to attend Pratt Institute and returned to the peninsula in 2015 to raise a family.
At Pratt, I studied illustration as a Communications Design major with a minor in Art History, graduating in 2005. The next 10 years were spent working with middle and high school students in NYC for the not-for-profit Publicolor, as well as teaching jewelry at the 92nd St Y. In 2015, I moved home to start a family and taught classes for Adult Education in Ellsworth until 2020.
In the summers, I love to swim and draw and paint with my two children, Maggie and Robin.
